About Us

We started this studio because the industry is shifting fast. As the creative landscape continues to evolve, more creative storytellers are finding fewer places to bring their visions to life. The options are shrinking, especially in spaces where artists are finding it harder than ever to pursue their passions.

We built this studio as an alternative. A space made by artists, for artists. A place where collaboration, inclusion, and integrity aren’t just ideals.. they’re how we actually work. We work better together, and we mean that literally: we’ve collaborated for years, and this studio is just the next step in doing what we love, with the people we trust.

We believe great storytelling comes from a mix of perspectives. We’ve seen firsthand how different voices and ways of thinking can strengthen the end result. Our goal isn’t just to create cool shit (though we love doing that). It’s to build a space where people feel supported, challenged, and inspired to make the best work of their careers.

That’s also where the name FRAKTL comes from. Inspired by fractals and shards, pieces that build upon one another. It reflects how every idea, every detail, and every person contributes to something larger. Stronger. More vibrant. More complete.

The Vision

We want to help reshape the future of visual storytelling by staying intentional to our core values. We’re building a creative space that prioritizes craft over clout, uplifts fresh perspectives, and fosters real collaboration between artists and clients.

In a time when creativity is being tested by automation and sameness, we want FRAKTL to be a counterbalance, a studio rooted in care, curiosity, and community.

Mission

We’re here to make meaningful, high-quality work for film, television, advertising, education, and our own original IP.

We’re also passionate about open-source tools, and we’re committed to developing and sharing resources that support a more accessible, and sustainable creative ecosystem.

We’re not saying we’ve got it all figured out but we try to stay open, honest, and collaborative in everything we do. If that sounds like your kind of vibe, come build something with us.

Team

John Kesig

Co-Founder

John Kesig has spent over 9 years working in Visual Effects and Animation as everything from an FX Artist to a Generalist with experience spanning film, advertising, product development, consulting, and pipeline. He’s worked across a wide range of environments from nimble boutique studios to large-scale VFX houses and corporate teams.

On top of being an artist, he brings his technical skills to every project, bridging the gap between creative teams and the tools they rely on. Whether it’s building scalable pipeline systems, developing custom tools for artists, or implementing hardware, and software John ensures teams can focus on the creative work without getting bogged down by the tech.

Lets be honest, he’s a juggler.
